Kenneth E. Doernenburg was a First-Class United States Navy member who was killed during the Pearl Harbor attacks while aboard the USS Oklahoma. He remained until September 2021, after surviving relatives were contacted by representatives requesting DNA to compare with that of who they believed was Doernenburg. After the match was confirmed, Doernernburg was reburied in his native Antigo, Wisconsin with military honors.
