Jose Socorro-Chavez (born September 17, 1954) was a man found in a shallow grave in Hillsboro, Oregon.
He was identified in 2023.
Case[]
Socorro was a migrant worker who used several aliases and had previously stayed at the Portland Rescue Mission homeless shelter. Investigators believe that he was killed sometime after March 25, 2000 by a crushing blow to the head dealt by a right-handed person. Police have not been able to identify his relatives and his murder is currently unsolved.
