Jose Elder Guardado Espinoza was a man whose partial skeletal remains were found in a wooded area of Charlotte, North Carolina. His death is being investigated as a homicide.
He was identified by the DNA Doe Project on June 13, 2023, having been reported missing in 2003.

Jose was last seen in the 9100 block of Tibble Creek Way in Charlotte, North Carolina on May 11, 2003. He left his residence with 2 unidentified individuals in a white 1986 Oldsmobile Cutless with North Carolina tag RVB-7978. It's believed Jose made a stop at an unknown location on Davidson Street shortly before he vanished.
