"John Mercy" was the nickname given to a Hurricane Katrina victim found in 2005.
He is buried next to Tonette Jackson, another victim of Hurricane Katrina.
Case[]
The victim was discovered in a marshy area a week after Hurricane Katrina made landfall. He was buried in Machpelah Cemetery in Pascagoula, Mississippi in February 2006. Local businesses and the city donated the coffins and flowers.
Characteristics[]

- Tattoo of the number "8" inside of a heart on his left forearm just above the wrist.
