Zeeuw Johannes Hubertus Kwist was a man who disappeared after leaving his job in a car belonging to his company. He was identified in 2020.
Case
Johannes was last seen on July 4, 2004, when he left his job in a car belonging to his company. The car was later found near Lyon, France, with a flat tire. No one is sure how he could have ended up in France.
Many internet sleuths theorized that he was Peter Bergmann, however Dutch police confirmed that this was not the case.
Johannes's Interpol profile matched the profile of unidentified remains found in Dunkirk. A DNA match confirmed his identity. At this time, there is not much information known regarding the circumstances of Johannes's death and discovery.
