Jefferson Parish Jane Doe was a teenage girl who was found murdered in Metairie, Louisiana in 1979. She had been stabbed 30 times with a small pocket or pen knife, sexually assaulted, and had bruises all over her body.

A business card in her possession was traced back to a man who had been staying in a hotel in New Orleans. He claimed that the woman had propositioned him for money a day before her death and stated she was from out of town. He was later cleared as a suspect. Toxicology tests on the woman found no illicit substances or alcohol in her system.
