Jefferson County John Doe is a man who was found to have washed ashore during the gales that blew off Lake Ontario by a man named John Franklin. He was found in Rays Cove, Henderson Bay, which is about a mile south of Stony Point Light. It is believed the victim had been in the water all winter, presumably the winter of 1907. Coroner S.C. Hollls of Belleville ordered the victim placed in Roberts Corners Cemetery AKA Evergreen Cemetery in Henderson, where he was buried the next Monday as he wasn't identified.
