James Howard Conklin (born 1950) was a man whose partial skeletal remains were located by hikers close to State Road 89 near Big Water, Utah, in 1994. Investigators found at the time of discovery that he had been killed by blunt force trauma to the head. His bones had likely been carried to this location by coyotes.
He was identified by Othram in December 2024.
Conklin is believed to have died sometime after May 1988. Before his death, he was seen in the Flagstaff, Arizona area and was experiencing homelessness.
