Hinds County Jane Doe was a woman who was abducted and presumably murdered on September 22, 2001 in Jackson, Mississippi.
Case
The victim was kidnapped from a hotel on Northside Drive in Jackson. Witnesses describe the victim as a very pretty woman with a Louisiana accent. She may have been a prostitute working in the area who was from Lake Charles, Louisiana or a place called St. Charles. There are no details about her abductor, or the vehicle(s) used by the suspect(s).
Ricky Franklin is a suspect in the murder of this woman. Franklin was convicted of aggravated assault with brass knuckles against a man who was permanently disabled as a result of the incident in 2000 and of the kidnapping, rape, and aggravated assault of a woman in 2009 and sentenced to fifty years for the latter. However, authorities, with the help of the FBI, believe he is responsible for the disappearances and/or murders of ten women involved in drugs and/or prostitution in the late 1990s, but have not been charged due to a lack of evidence.
