
Hinds County Jane Doe is a young woman found murdered in Bolton, Mississippi on July 19, 1999.
Case[]
The victim's nude body was found at an oil well in the St. Thomas area of Bolton and lying on top of the bottom of a yellow rain slicker. Her cause of death was gunshot wounds to the abdomen.
Ricky Franklin is a suspect in the murder of this woman. Franklin was convicted of aggravated assault with brass knuckles against a man who was permanently disabled as a result of the incident in 2000, and the kidnapping, rape, and aggravated assault of a woman in 2009 and sentenced to fifty years for the latter. However, authorities, with the help of the FBI, believed he is responsible for the disappearances and/or murders of ten women involved in drugs and/or prostitution in the late 1990s, but has not been charged due to the lack of evidence.
