
Highland Park Jane Doe was a woman found in a hotel in Highland Park, Michigan in 1992. She was strangled to death.
She was identified by Identifinders International in January 2024, but her name has been withheld.
Case[]
The victim was found in Room #18 in the Monterey Motel. She had been raped, strangled and was nude except for socks. Benjamin Atkins, A.K.A. the Woodward Corridor Killer, was convicted of her murder. Between December 1991 and August 1992, Atkins raped and strangled eleven women and left them in vacant buildings in the Highland Park area. Many of the victims were sex workers and Atkins stated he was motivated by having hatred for it. Atkins died in prison in 1997 due to an HIV infection.
