The victim's body was found in a ditch near Interstate 40 and had been shot three times in the head with a .45 caliber pistol. He had not been killed where he was found, and evidence suggested he was dumped at the location. He had been bound hand and foot and gagged during his murder, but his attacker appeared to have removed the tape afterwards.
