Hernando County John Doe was a man whose remains were found with other sets of remains on a property in Weeki Wachee, Florida. The other victim was identified. Authorities suspect they were victims of serial killer Billy Mansfield.
He is currently undergoing testing by Othram.
Case[]
The skeletal remains were found buried in the backyard of serial killer Billy Mansfield's home, after an informant suggested the body of Elaine Zeigler, a 15 year old who vanished in 1976, was buried there. They found a skeleton wrapped in a blanket buried in the yard, and multiple small bones were also buried indicating more than one victim. The skeleton was identified as Elaine Ziegler. Reportedly, the remains of about 6 people were found on Mansfield's property.
The only identified victims are Theresa Fillingim, Sandra Graham and Elaine Zeigler.
This victim was unidentified and long assumed to be a female because of Mansfield's victim pattern, but modern DNA testing proved he was actually male.
