Harris County Jane Doe was a woman found murdered along Interstate 45 in 1980. Her case is speculated to be related to a killer who dumped victims along Interstate 45, or possibly a larger group of victims discovered in the late 1970s and early 1980s.
Case
The female's body was discovered along I-45, near a barbed wire fence. Early into the investigation, the female had been theorized to have been one of various high risk victims, including prostitutes, who were killed and left along Texas highways in the late 1970s and 1980s.
In 2017, it was suggested that this victim could have been killed by an offender who killed three other females in 1980 and left their bodies along the same interstate. Only one was identified; the other two include Walker County Jane Doe and the December 1980 Harris County Jane Doe. These victims in particular had been sexually assaulted without rape, and had been strangled in a similar way.
