Harris County Jane Doe was a young woman found dead in Houston, Texas in 1989.

Case[]

The woman's body was found slumped on the steps outside of an office building in the early morning hours of December 29, 1989. She had died from a gunshot wound to the head. Investigators believed she had been killed elsewhere and dumped outside the office building. Although the woman was hispanic, her prints turned up nothing in immigration databases which suggested she either was born in the United States or had arrived in America very recently. As of 2017, authorities had exhumed her body and were re-investigating the case.
