Hamilton County John Doe was a man found in a wooded area frequented by transients and homeless people in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Case[]
On July 1, 1991, the decedent's remains were found in a wooded area behind a grocery store. The wooded area was known to be frequented by homeless people and transients. The man had isopropyl alcohol in his system, and empty isopropyl alcohol bottles were near the remains. Investigators believe the man was homeless.
Characteristics[]
- Light to medium brown hair, 2-3 inches long.
- Healing fracture to the left cheekbone and eye area.
- Possible chronic sinusitis.
- Poor dentition:
- The tooth to the right of the top two front teeth was missing.
- Severe periodontal disease.
- Teeth #12-14, 17, 30, and 32 were missing.
- Several healed fractures:
- Healed nose fracture.
- Healed fracture of the left ribs 5-8.
- Healed fracture of the right ribs 5-11.
- Healed right fifth metacarpal fracture.
- Several amalgam fillings.
- Bone spur on the right elbow.
