Hamilton County Jane Doe was a woman who was found in a creek bed near Interstate 24 in Chattanooga, Tennessee on March 29, 1999. 75 women have been ruled out as the decedent.

Characteristics[]

  • Dark brown or black hair.
  • Possible bow-leggedness that may have caused an unusual gait.
  • Many healed fractures:
    • Fractures to the tops of both feet, which may have caused a limp.
    • Fracture to the left pinkie finger.
    • Fracture to the first rib on her right side, causing her right shoulder to be stiff or painful.
    • Healed nasal fracture.
  • Extremely poor dental hygiene.
    • Only 12 teeth which showed signs of advanced decay periodontal disease.
    • Front teeth were missing, likely because of periodontal disease.
    • Abscess on left lower jaw.
