Grand Forks John Doe is a male found near Grand Forks, North Dakota in October of 1918.

Case[]

The victim was found in the Red River three miles from Grand Forks. He had no identification and his clothes consisted of clothing field laborers wore. There were many farm-hands in the area at the time.

Then-Chief of Police O. Overby theorized the victim was robbed, hit in the back of the head and additionally beaten elsewhere, and then thrown in the river to drown three weeks prior to the victim's discovery. The victims was buried in the Potter's Field on October 13, 1918.
