She was identified in February 2020 by the DNA Doe Project.

Background

Ginger Bibb was born on May 7, 1958, possibly in Houston, Texas. She graduated from Perrytown High School in Perrytown, Texas, in May of 1978. She would live in numerous residences for the next 27 years, mostly in Texas, but also in Florida, and Arizona. The last known place she resided in was in Glendale, Arizona, and after 2003, She completely vanished from the public.

Criminal history

A group of "web sleuths" would search records after Ginger's identification, and it seems that she had a criminal record.

From June 1999-September 2001, Ginger had numerous criminal charges, including marijuana and drug paraphernalia possession, and traffic violations. She also barely showed up to her court appearances and a bench warrant was often issued, even in 2011.

Case

Exactly how Bibb vanished is unknown, but her skeletal remains were discovered inside a rolled-up carpet on the side of the road near 43rd Avenue and Baseline Road in Phoenix, Arizona in 2004. Not much is known about her disappearance or death but a flyer released by the Silent Witness program states that she was murdered. She also appeared to have never been reported missing.

Characteristics

  • She had dark brown hair.
  • She had worn eyeglasses at her time of death.
  • Trauma to her face and throat that were healing at the time of death (and unrelated to her death)
