==Case==

The victim was discovered on Gilgo Beach, New York along with various other sets of remains, following the 2010 discovery of four other bodies.

It is theorized that the victim may have been killed for being gender variant<ref>''The individual was described as a “male in drag” during initial interviews of investigators when the remains were located. It is unknown if the victim occasionally dressed in feminine clothing or if they identified as transgender.''</ref> and/or transgender, possibly upon intimate acts, if they were indeed a sex worker.

The connection to the nine other victims discovered in the same region is questioned by some, based on differences in cause of death, sex assigned at birth, and that these remains had not been dismembered.
