The decedent was found unresponsive in a homeless shelter in downtown Los Angeles. He had suffered massive head injuries but details on how they were inflicted are unknown. He was taken to a hospital where he died on June 21, 2005. He had been carrying papers and a bank card indicating his name was George Pollard, born in 1955 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. However, he wasn't identified until January 2015, when his family found his reconstruction posted on a Pennsylvania based missing persons website.
