"George Doss" was the unverified name of a man killed in a train accident in Hastings, Minnesota, on the afternoon of February 1, 1900. He is presumed to have been trying to get on westbound Freight No. 61 when he was struck and killed. The wheels had passed through his chest and left hand.
It is believed the man was given lodging at the city hall the evening before and registered under the name "George Doss." However, it appears this lead went nowhere, and he remains unidentified. He was buried at the local Lakeside Cemetery.
