Unidentified Wiki

Fulton County John Doe was a man who was struck by an automobile on Marietta Street in Atlanta, Georgia, on January 23, 1937. He was transported to Grady Hospital, where he died without regaining consciousness.

Authorities investigated his identity for three weeks but were unable to successfully identify him. At the beginning of the investigation, the victim was tentatively identified as Robert B. Callaway, the son of an Alabama judge, but this lead was subsequently ruled out. Atlanta authorities lamented their belief that the victim could only be identified if he had his prints in the FBI fingerprint records. On February 13, 1937, he was buried at Hillcrest Cemetery following his funeral at Bellwood Baptist Church in East Point, Georgia.
