Guadalupe County Jane Doe was a female killed on July 11, 1978. She is a victim of serial killing duo Ronald Lanphear and Diana Geisinger.
Case[]
The victim, carrying a guitar encased, was allegedly picked up in Perry, Oklahoma. Prior to her murder, the victim claimed July 11 was her seventeenth birthday, and that she was en route to see her mother in California, whom she would always call on her birthday but was killed before she could do so.[1] Conflicting accounts claim that she instead used the phone at the gas station from where she was picked up.
Her body was discovered at the junction of Interstate 40 and US Route 74 by a highway foreman. It is believed she was killed with multiple gunshots, and .22 caliber shells were found nearby.
