Tires Jane Doe was a woman who was located on 16 May 2004 in Tires, Italy. She possibly committed suicide and may be a foreign national.

Case[]

The victim was located near a small path that is about a 20-minute walk from Path N.3 that leads to the Bergamo Refuge and is not marked on maps. Analysis of the victim indicated she ingested a significant quantity of alcohol and medicines, which led to the speculation that she committed suicide, even though her death was caused by acute pulmonary edema and heart failure resulting from frostbite. She is believed to have died between the end of December 2003 and April 4, 2004, as a burnt fragment of a timetable of local bus lines of S.A.D. was located on her with a date range of the end of December 2003 to April 4, 2004, with the indication of the line Bolzano-Siè-Siusi/ Castelrotto-Val Gardena-Selva Di Val Gardena.

A pen-gadget from the company Elektro-Blanz Gmbh which is based in Hamburg, Germany, was also located at the scene, and the medicinal products (produced in Germany and Liechtenstein) were only in German. While this suggests she may be from Germany, the German Federal Police in Wiesbaden, Germany has ruled out any correspondence between the victim and open cases of missing people in Germany. German authorities also located the company whose logo was on the pen, but were told the pen was already out of production for about two years and they were unable to establish any connection with the people to whom it was distributed.

She may have ties to Austria, as a plasticized fragment with part of an email address of an Austrian record label (... wischnig@ggrecords.at) was also located. It is unknown if authorities were ever able to trace the email address.
