Fairfax John Doe was a man whose skeletal remains were found in a draw two miles south and two miles west of Fairfax, South Dakota, in 1916. The discovery location was found within a hundred feet of the Nebraska-Dakota boundary line. He is believed to possibly be a traveler from the gold rush who died after getting sick on his journey.
