Edith Patten (1867 - November 12, 1891) was a woman whose remains were found inside of a casket while workers were working on a water-line in Sanford, Maine. A cemetery by the name of Woodlawn Cemetery had existed in the location previously, however due to neglect and overgrowth, the graves were eventually moved to a new site in 1931. Authorities believe that Edith's remains were simply overlooked when the cemetery was moved to the new location.

She was identified on March 1, 2023 by the DNA Doe Project. Edith's cause of death was determined to be tuberculosis.

It was initially thought that Edith could have been as young as 10 years old.
