Donald P. Smith was a North Las Vegas man who drowned in Lake Mead in April 1974.
In October 17, 2022, his remains were found on the shoreline of Lake Mead. Additional remains were discovered two days later. His remains were discovered due to the lake's shrinking and are one of at least four sets of remains discovered in 2022 due to this occurrence, including those of Thomas Erndt and Clark County John Doe (2022). His remains were identified through DNA, and his death was ruled as an accidental drowning.
