Detroit John Doe was a man found buried in a back alley in Detroit, Michigan, in 2008. Several other sets of human remains were found in the same area.
Case[]
In 2008, police received an anonymous tips saying bodies were to be found on Detroit's Eastside between Mansfield and Plymouth. In two days, police found a total of 4 male bodies buried in an alleyway or field between Mansfield and Plymouth. The area was high-crime and most houses in the block were vacant. Investigators believe the killings are most likely related to a drug cartel.
Two of the bodies were immediately identified; one was DeAngelo Patton (sometimes referred to as Angelo Patton), age 21, who went missing in December 2007, and the other was Tommy Kirkland, also 21.
Investigators have stated they believed the decedent was a drug addict.
