Case[]
The remains of Mitchell were found in the debris of an abandoned building being demolished in Cleveland, Ohio. His head had been wrapped in a blue blanket, which was then bound around his neck with an electrical cord.
He was officially identified in April 2025 through the work of Astrea Forensics. Investigators first began looking into the possibility of a match between Mitchell and the unidentified man in 2020, but initially struggled to recover a usable DNA sample to compare with relatives. Mitchell was last seen en route to Ryan's Bar in the 6300 block of Euclid Avenue.
