Crownsville John Doe was a man whose remains were found on the grounds of the now-defunct Crownsville State Hospital in 1972. He is one of three unidentified men who have been discovered on the grounds.
Case[]
The decedent's skeletonized remains were found on the grounds of the Crownsville State Hospital on March 10, 1972. His body had been damaged by animals and scattered, so it was impossible to determine the cause of his death. The decomposed body of Willie Parker, another Crownsville inmate who'd been missing since July 1971, was also found on the grounds on March 21, 1972. Officials at the time reported there were about 30 missing patients in Crownsville.
