Karen "Cricket" Davis was a woman who disappeared in Phoenix, Arizona in the first week of November 1984. Her skeletal remains were found in March 1985 and positively identified in August 2005.
Case[]
Cricket Davis, a mother of two children, disappeared from the housing projects in Phoenix in November 1984. She was never seen or heard from again.
On March 2, 1985, her skeletal remains were discovered by ASU students on a field trip at about 8:40 a.m. in the desert southeast of the intersection of Scottsdale Road and Jomax Road in Scottsdale, Arizona. Approximately 70% of her scattered bones and a few pieces of clothing were discovered. Additionally, a bullet wound was found in her skull.
On August 20, 2004, the Arizona Republic released a new and improved sketch that authorities were able to create due to recent advances in forensics. When Pamela Davis read the article, she said it looked like her sister, Cricket, due to the chipped front tooth. In August 2005, DNA confirmed that the skeletal remains were Cricket's. Per the Scottsdale Police Department, her murder remains unsolved, and no further updates have been given since her identification.
