Council Bluffs Jane Doe was a female found in Iowa at some point during the early 20th century.

Case[]

The victim was found cut up and buried near Council Bluffs Iowa. She is believed to have been killed by William N Coffey. Coffey died in Prison in 1962 after he was convicted of killing and dismembering his wife in 1926. Her remains were found and identified.

Coffey was also the suspect in the disappearance of an unnamed choir girl from Maquoketa Iowa in 1920; the girl disappeared and [typewritten] letters from Boston Massachusetts supposedly from her were received which claimed that she was with child but not by Coffey; the letters "stopped" and she "vanished."
