Collier County Jane Doe was a woman whose mutilated torso was found in a canal near Naples, Florida, in 1982.

Case[]

A fisherman found the victim's nude torso floating in a canal 200 yards east of the 37-mile marker rest area of Alligator Alley and near the Broward County Line. Her killer(s) removed her head, legs, arms, and breasts with a razor-sharp knife. An autopsy revealed she was stabbed in her abdomen and had the word "drug" scraped into her back with a knife post-mortem. Her cause of death was never able to be determined. Law enforcement officials said they thought her killer(s) murdered the woman at an unknown location and dumped her torso in the canal afterward.

Investigators conducted an extensive ground and air search for several miles but could not locate any other of her body parts. According to the Doe Network, her fingerprints, dentals, and DNA are unavailable for identification.
