Background[]

Angela had four children and had been married twice. She had Cherokee ancestry and was a member of the Cherokee Nation. She had attended Putnam West High School and she was last seen in Moore, Oklahoma in the spring of 2008.

Investigation[]

On August 31, 2008, fishermen near Lake Thunderbird found a shallow grave containing Angela's remains. The shallow grave was located at 120th Avenue NE & Alameda Drive.

A tattoo was discovered on the victim’s back. Photos were sent around the state and surrounding states in hopes of locating the tattoo artist and her identity. While this failed, DNA testing and database postings were made in further attempts to identify her.

Further DNA testing was approved in August 2021 when other methods failed to turn up clues. In March 2022, a relative of Angela was identified and DNA comparisons confirmed her identity.

Her death remains an active homicide investigation.
