Patricia Agnes "Choubi" Gildawie (1958 - c. February 8, 1975) was a teenager whose remains were found around a water drainage area in McLean, Virginia. She had been shot in the back of the head/neck.
She was identified in September 2022 by Othram Inc.
Case[]
Choubi was born in France in 1958. Her family came to America when she was around 8 months old. She grew up in Virginia and when she was 17, became involved with an older man in his 30s. She apparently only visited her family home every few weeks. Her family was concerned about the relationship possibly being abusive because Choubi was often bruised. After February 8, 1975, her family never saw her again.
Her remains were found in September 2001. However, the coroner falsely estimated them to belong to a black woman who had been dead for about a year or two. After the case was sent to Othram, they discovered her race was more likely white and quickly found the familial connection between Choubi and her sister.
