Chicago Jane Doe was a woman whose right leg was discovered sticking out of a trash bag at a Chicago recycling plant. The leg had been sawed off at the hip with a fine, bladed instrument by someone who appeared to have some basic knowledge of anatomy.
Examinations of the victim's tissue revealed the presence of cocaine and ethanol. The rest of her remains have not been found.
Her NamUs profile was removed in or before May 2024 and has not been re-established, indicating she was identified.
