Cherokee County Jane Doe was a woman whose skeletal remains were found in a wooded area near the Sand Creek Community in Cherokee County, Alabama. The skull had a hole in it.

Characteristics[]

  • Pelvis displays incomplete fusion of the laminae of the first sacral vertebrae to those of the second sacral vertebrae.

  • Remnants of two gloves.
  • Soles of two shoes, women's size 6.
  • White gold band ring with small diamond-like stone setting in a 6mm square mounting, with markings inside band "901, 14K, MB", found in left glove, size 6 1/4.
  • Yellow gold band ring with 12mm x 6mm oval shaped mounting with one small stone centered, with markings inside band "OERIDGE", found in left glove, size 6.
  • Yellow gold women's watch with "RAETL" under face glass, "la, BASE METAL BEXEL, STEEL BACK." on back of the watch face, "CROWN USA 1/20 10K TOPS" on back of one link in watchband.
