Chambers County Jane Doe was an individual whose remains were found near State Route 87 in Chambers County, Texas. In 2023, DNA analysis indicated the presence of a Y-chromosome, meaning the decedent was assigned male at birth. Based on the feminine presentation at the time of death, it is most likely the subject was a transgender woman. Before such testing took place, the body was believed to belong to a cisgender female.
