Carma Jessica Purpura (August 19, 1975 - July 11, 2007) was a woman whose body was found on the side of a highway in Kentucky in 2011.
She was identified in 2016 via DNA testing. Suspected serial killer Bruce Mendenhall was charged with her murder before the discovery of her body, as her blood and personal belongings had been found in his truck. In 2021, Mendenhall, who was imprisoned in Tennessee for another murder, was transferred to Indiana to stand trial for Purpura's murder. The trial has seemingly not yet taken place.
