Brenda Gee Knight was a woman whose remains were found on the banks of the Mattaponi River in 2001. She was last seen after being dropped off by her sister in Richmond, Virginia around Thanksgiving the previous year, but was not reported missing until 2004.
She was identified after her daughter uploaded DNA to a database to try and figure out what happened to her mother. Brenda's death is being treated as a homicide.
