Brandi Jo Malonson (born October 1, 1983) is a woman who went missing from Colorado.
Malonson was last seen leaving the home she shared with her parents in south Jefferson County, Colorado on December 26, 2006. Several individuals have contacted her family and conveyed different but unconfirmed stories regarding her fate including that she died of drug overdose or that she was murdered with her body being disposed of, possibly in the Platte River or up in the mountains.
Malonson was a graduate of Columbine High School and a survivor of the infamous 1999 school shooting carried out by two seniors. This experience, along with the still-unsolved murders of two friends as well as a friend's suicide resulted in a lot of mental trauma and eventual drug use.
Malonson was a certified nursing assistant, having taken nursing classes at Parks College after high school graduation. She took jobs as a carer for the elderly. Her first use of methamphetamine corresponds with this period.
Even though she got treatment for her drug problem, she eventually relapsed. In 2005 she declared bankruptcy. In 2006 she was convicted of drug possession and identity theft. She disappeared only four days after being sentenced to probation.
Authorities are looking for a certain Lisa Gibson, who is believed to have information regarding Malonson's disappearance. Gibson was born in 1964 and would have been around 42 years old at the time of Malonson's disappearance. She is known to have been a frequent patron of bars on South Broadway.
