Bor Jane Doe was a woman whose remains were found in a forest near the D5 highway in the Czech Republic. Her murder remains unsolved. The statute of limitations on her case expired on 29 June 2023.
Case[]
On 29 June 2003, a hunter found the body of a woman by the branches of the forest near the D5 highway in the Czech Republic in the early morning. The body was heavily decomposed due to the summer heat, causing the police to theorize that she had been dead for several days. She was likely a foreigner and had been killed elsewhere and disposed of in the area she was found in. A medical examiner placed her time of death as one week prior and ruled her manner of death as a homicide.
Based on the muscles of her legs, it was also determined that she had never given birth and did not engage in physical work, play sports, or live in an area with many hills or elevations where she walked. Anthropologists concluded that she was likely from the Caribbean based on her genetic traits, which showed various features ranging from Caucasian, Arab, and Indian. Investigators also made a reconstruction of her face and appearance. Police questioned local dentists, but nobody remembered a woman with such teeth.
Although her exotic hairstyle was neglected and poorly maintained, it was still one only offered by very few hair salons in the entire country and cost 8,000 Czech Koruna. However, none of the stylists recognized the woman, leading the police to believe that she was murdered elsewhere and disposed of in the Czech Republic. She was possibly from Germany due to the proximity of the German border.
The statute of limitations on the decedent's case expired on 29 June 2023.
