Beverly Lynn England was a woman who disappeared from Salida, Colorado in 1980. Her remains were found in the same county over a decade later, but were not connected to her until 2015.
Case[]
Beverly disappeared on June 12, 1980 after dropping her kids off with a friend because she was going to meet someone. She confided in this friend that she was having an affair, and the person she was meeting was the man's pregnant wife, in order to discuss some “personal issues”. Her car was later found at Riverside Park in Salida, but there was no sign of Beverly. That evening, her husband began searching for her, calling police at 8 PM. A police officer was sent to the home of the woman that Beverly was planning to meet with and noticed that the woman was injured. The woman stated that the injuries were related to her pregnancy, but police were still suspicious. However, there was a lack of any other evidence that a crime had taken place, and search efforts focused on the river, as it was believed she may have accidentally drowned.
Twelve years later, in 1992, human remains were found near Mount Shavano, only seven miles from Salida. At the time, it was believed that the remains belonged to a long-dead pioneer, and were not connected to Beverly's missing person case. The case was reopened in 2015, and DNA from the remains was found to match her children. Investigators have stated that they now have multiple persons of interest.
