In January 10, 1989, 14 human bones were found scattered along a desert in Barstow that was about 2 miles from State Route 58. It was determined a lower leg, upper arm and a few other bones belonged to a man and a thighbone, pelvis and an arm belonged to this woman. Other bones were found that belonged to a third person of an unknown sex. No cause of death could be determined on any bones and there were no obvious signs of trauma.
