Baby Hope is the nickname given to an infant girl found deceased in a warehouse in Virginia Beach, Virginia, in 1996. Her death was ruled a homicide.
Case[]
The child's remains were discovered wrapped in a shirt and hung inside of a warehouse. She had died days before and was in an advanced stage of decomposition.
It is speculated that the child was the daughter of one of the employees who worked in the warehouse. In 2017, a potential suspect emerged, a former employee of the warehouse who had declined to provide DNA until a warrant was obtained.
Characteristics[]

- Through analysis by the Parabon Nanolabs, it was determined that the girl was 94% East Asian, with parents possibly native to Thailand, the Philippines, Cambodia, Vietnam, Myanmar or China.
