"Baby Allison" was a newborn found murdered in Strasburg Township, Pennsylvania, in 2003.
Case[]
The baby was discovered in a burn barrel, concealed in plastic near an Amish schoolhouse. Her throat had been slit. She was estimated to have been born between Christmas Eve and December 27, 2003.
After the discovery was publicized, an employee of a mini-mart stated that there was a large amount of blood found in one of their restrooms, possibly from childbirth. Since the blood at the scene was removed, it could not be compared to the profile developed from the baby.
Genetic testing indicated the girl was not the result of an incestuous relationship and was not likely of Amish origin. There are polarized opinions surrounding whether the mother was local or from another location.
