Aroostook County Jane Doe was a newborn discovered frozen in a Frenchville gravel pit. Investigators believe that her mother drove or was driven to the gravel pit, delivered the baby, then abandoned it there. Investigators also suspect that the mother may be Canadian.
In June 2022, the mother was identified as Lee Ann Daigle and was arrested and charged with murder.
