Almería Jane Doe was a young woman whose charred and mutilated body was found in a garbage dump in Almería, Spain. She is the sixth confirmed victim of The Almeria Ripper, an unidentified serial killer, although there is some doubt that the killer is responsible and her case isn't an isolated incident. Few details are available on her case.
Between 1988 and 1996, the naked bodies of 10 young, drug-addicted sex workers were discovered either beaten or strangled near Almeria in Andalucia. German truck driver Volker Eckert was considered a major suspect, but no definitive suspects have been arrested. The killer has been dubbed "The Almeria Ripper".
