Allegheny County Doe was an individual whose skull was found in the catch basin of a trash truck by workers in 1995.
Case[]
The skull was thrown into the trash by an employee of the Columbia Hospital in Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania and had been allegedly used as a teaching aid. The employee disposed of the skull assuming it was made of plastic. It was then discovered in the trash truck and was determined to be human. Investigators determined no homicide or foul play was involved and the skull was likely very old. The name 'John' was written on the skull.
